SWSTDNT & Other Social Work Internet Lists

This is a collection of Internet discussion groups of interest to social workers. A discussion group (aka "list") is collection of people who send messages to the list (a common e-mail address) about a specific topic. Every time someone sends a message to the list, every member receives a copy by e-mail. You may also send messages to the list and everyone in the group will get a copy of what you wrote. You may take part in a list by subscribing to it.

Subscription to a list is done by sending an email message to the subscription address for the particular list in which you are interested. Taking part in a list is one way of communicating with others who share your interests.

Directions:

To subscribe to unstarred lists, compose the following e-mail message:

subscribe LISTNAME firstname lastname

Substitute the name of the list for LISTNAME, your first name for firstname, and your last name for lastname.

Send the message to the listserv, listproc, or majordomo address for the list.

To subscribe to starred (*) lists, send the following e-mail message

subscribe LISTNAME

to the listserv, listproc, or majordomo address.
